This online classes website development project began as an ecommerce website. The dentists would sign up to learn about implant dentistry in person at a hotel. However, one of the classes didn’t require the dentists to be present. For that reason, the instructor decided to make that one available online. As a result, we were required to run the videos from a different server. Consequently, the website is able to run fast since it doesn’t have any bandwidth issues. The bandwidth required to view the videos comes from a streaming server. For that reason, our client doesn’t need a dedicated server with unlimited bandwidth.
Online Courses Web Development
The website began with all the classes being in person as you can see in the original dental web design project. Naturally, some of the courses require hands on experience. For that reason, some courses must be taught in person. However, any classes that can be taught online will be from now on. Since people pay online we have an online application you can fill out to get your merchant account.
People can sign up for the courses online and use coupon codes to get discounts. Our client is able to create any coupon codes he wants. Plus, the coupon codes can be for a specific amount off or a percentage off. Also, the coupon codes can be set to expire on a specific date to create a sense of urgency. Naturally, with an online classes website you don’t want people to share the link with friends. We have it set up so that only a registered user can view the courses. Plus, once the online courses are completed a certificate is emailed to the student. This online class consists of 8 modules and a test is given after each module.
