Impact Windows Magazine Ad Design
This magazine ad design was created for a company sells hurricane resistant impact windows and doors. We decided to create the ad with a broken window. People look at the ad to see why the glass is broken and they are forced to think about the windows in their own home. The other reason we used broken glass is that people will often buy based on fear. The broken glass reminds people that hurricane season will be here soon enough. Effective advertising usually will have an emotional impact on the people viewing the ad. When we get people to be emotional rather than logical we get better results. Logically we have insurance protection against windstorm damage. Emotionally we fear hurricanes and the (extremely unlikely) destruction of our homes.
We usually get new clients that want to sell impact windows right after a hurricane. Advertising is always more effective when it runs consistently over a long period of time.
CMS Web Design
We also created a website for this client which had a Content Management System. The purpose of a CMS or Content Mangement System website is to make it easy for the client to add before and after photos to the gallery. When we work on a CMS web design project we add all of the content, we write all of the text and we add all of the before and after photos. The benefit to the client in having a CMS web design is that in the future as they get more photos they can add them on their own. Additionally, they may decide to make some other updates such as a prehurricane sale on for all new customers. Whatever they want to change on the website they are able to easily do on their own.
