Non-Profit Logo Design
For this non-profit logo design we used a little circular design with the name of the non-profit organization. We like logos that are not too obvious about what they represent. For example, since the word “Mercy” is used in the name of the non-profit the maybe the circular shape is representing a halo. Maybe it is and maybe not. However, if we made it very obvious that it was an angel’s halo then our logo would become silly looking. Consequently, by keeping the graphic highly stylized it is more unique. For that reason, nobody can be certain about what the circle represents.
Additionally, if it was clearly a halo then we wouldn’t need designers, we could just buy clipart of a halo. Plus, the circular shape could refer to the word “airlift”. For instance, it could represent the outline of the spinning propeller on the aircraft.
Non-Profit Web Design
The client also wanted a website for the non-profit organization and we were able to use the logo there. Also, the website needed a calendar that someone in the non-profit could update. What the organization did was to fly families between the Bahamas and South Florida for cancer treatment. Additionally, they never charged for this service, the pilots were all volunteering their time. Consequently, local private pilots would let the organization know when they’d be flying and that would get posted to the calendar. Additionally, people would request a flight and a pilot would volunteer for the time and date that was requested.
