This event web design was created for a free event produced by FIU. Consequently, the university wanted to have an educational event and invite people that would find the topic helpful. We used WordPress so that in the future they could make updates on their own. Their plan is to host more of these educational seminars and that means that an easy to use CMS is a must. Once the date of an event has passed then it would be moved to a section of the website for Past Events. By setting it up this way they are able to keep using the same website. Consequently, only the current event or upcoming events change. As a result, there is no need to make a new website for each event. In fact, they only have to change the information on the home page and agenda page.
Content Management System Web Design
It was our suggestion that when a person registers, in addition to getting email notification they should also be added to a database. As a result, we used some custom programming to set up a system that adds all of the registration information to a file. Additionally, the file is a CSV file which can then be opened like any spreadsheet. Consequently, this makes it easier for the people at FIU to follow up on those registered for the event. Additionally, it helps to keep track of the number of people that have registered to attend.
We also make their tote bags, name badges, and booklets. Additionally, booklets had the agenda inside for use at the event. We created the emails used to promote the event. Lastly, we had our professional photographer getting photos for their website. Since our company is a full-service advertising agency we are able to assist with all aspects of marketing the event.
