Caterer Logo Design
A caterer logo design style will depend on the type of food the catering company likes to prepare. When we spoke with this caterer she told us she was seeking a new image, one that would support her commitment to the art of food. We realized our logo had to look artistic. When we asked why she didn’t want her current logo, a seahorse anymore she told us that she keeps getting calls from the wrong kind of customers. We like to listen to our clients as that is where we get clarity on what they are trying to accomplish. We felt that it was very important to ask a lot of questions because this was not a new business and she already had a logo. We needed to know what motivated her to make this change. We found that the problem was that she didn’t want to cater company picnics, she wanted weddings. Of course, we had to ask what the difference was since money if money. The caterer pointed out that at a company picnic the owner wants to know what is the cheapest food that can be ordered for the picnic because they need to keep their costs down. When a bride to contacts a caterer she isn’t calling to find the cheapest catering company, she wants the best catering company for her wedding. We decided at that moment that the logo, business cards and, the website would all have to look very elegant.
When we showed our new client examples of corporate identity packages so that she could see how everything would match we got quite a surprise. The caterer told us that she just lost a lot of money and went on to explain that she gave someone a deposit last week to make her website and she thought she would only hire us to make the logo. She realized that for proper branding she needed everything to have the same look and feel. She walked away from the deposit she had given to someone else and had us take care of all of her branding.
