BNI banners and BNI signs are used by Business Networking International chapters. These chapters are in cities located all around the world. Our company has been a member of our local BNI Chapter since the year 2000. As a result, we have found that BNI is a great way to give referrals to other business people. In BNI we get a chance to get to know, like and trust the other members. Consequently, some of our company’s best clients came to us as BNI referrals.
Our chapter has asked us to create retractable banner stands that we use at the front of the room and at the entrance. These signs and banners help to reinforce the BNI messaging and to let visitors to the chapter know that they have arrived at the right location.

Our local chapter recently moved to a new location and it was difficult for people to find. Our meetings begin at 7:00 am and visitors will often arrive as early as 6:30 am in the dark. Consequently, we needed a sign that we could place outdoors that would be easy to see. For that reason, we custom designed a reflective a-frame sign. As people drive up the sign points the people in the right direction. The A-frame sign is made of the same highly reflective material that highway construction warning signs are made from. With visitors arriving as early as 6:30 am it is helpful to have a sign that lights up when cars approach. These signs are 46″H X 27″W X 3″ D and the graphic is 36″H X 24″ W. The total weight of the sign is only 19 pounds.
The two retractable banner stands we use both have BNI trademarked slogans that help remind visitors of the value of joining our chapter. Each week one person in the group is able to give a 10-minute presentation to the group. By having one retractable banner stand next to the podium we are able to get photos of the person giving the presentation and use them on social media with the BNI banner stand. We designed these two BNI banners to be identical except for the trademarked slogans.
Both of these retractable banner stands were printed on opaque fabric instead of the vinyl you see most of the time. The vinyl banners get wrinkles and permanent creases in them. Our fabric banners look nicer and since they aren’t vinyl we don’t get glare reflected from them.
