Auto Dealership Logo Design
We created this auto dealership logo design after our client purchased the dealership and wanted all new branding. Sometimes when a business is sold the new owner wants to keep the name because of the great reputation. That reputation which is also known as “Goodwill” is worth a lot of money in the best case scenario. However, in this situation, the reputation of the dealership was not that great. Consequently, the new owner wanted everyone to know that it was under new ownership.
Corporate Branding
Many of the former employees were replaced and the process to rebrand the dealership began. Naturally, our first project was to create a logo. Consequently, all of the signage was immediately changed. Next, we began to produce TV commercials for the new dealership. Then we began to do media buying to maximize their return on investment. Additionally, we designed and placed all of their newspaper advertising. Plus, we created magazine ads that were placed in magazines that went to the more affluent homes in the area. Also, we created direct mail marketing campaigns that targeted people living in more expensive homes.
Ad Agency Services
One of the problems the new owner faced was that he had no idea how much money was being spent on advertising. Consequently, when the bills came in each month it was always a suprise. As a result, our ad agency put an immediate stop to that. The problem was caused by the fact that there wasn’t any single person involved in deciding where and how to advertise. For instance, if a salesperson from a radio station spoke to the service manager he might buy radio ads. Additionally, maybe a TV salesperson would speak with the new car manager and he might agree to buy TV ads.
We suggested to the new owner that everyone in the company should be told to give our agency any requests for advertising. Consequently, nobody was allowed to place any advertising except our company. Additionally, each month we would put all of our advertising recommendations into a spreadsheet. As a result, the owner and general manager could see the expenditures we were proposing. Additionally, they could make revisions and there were no surprises at the end of the month when bills arrived.
Media Buying
They had a location that placed them right at the border between the Miami Designated Market Area and the West Palm Beach Designated Market Area. For this reason, we always had to run their TV advertising in both DMA’s in order to get the best results. We worked with this auto dealership for less than two years and in that time the profits went up dramatically. The new name, new branding, new employees, and new advertising all helped to make this possible. As a result, the owner of the dealership was then able to sell the dealership for a very nice profit.
