Alcohol TV Advertising
Alcohol TV advertising is different from other types of TV commercial production. We have to have “Drink Responsibly” or some similar message on the screen for at least four seconds. It’s OK to show people sipping a drink but not drinking too much. Also, showing people smiling and happy is fine as long as they don’t look drunk. We cannot show anyone in the commercial that is too close to the legal drinking age. The concern is that so that somebody might think we encourage underage drinking. We can’t have a famous actor or singer that typically appeals to people that are below the legal drinking age. Consequently, you don’t often see celebrities in alcohol commercials. We cannot show anything that indicates that your success socially, financially may depend on the use of alcohol. There are other restrictions as well and we work within those restrictions. We asked the three women in the commercial to look happy and to laugh and talk. It took about 2-hours of shooting video to get the exact look we wanted. As a result, you won’t find people laughing too hard or looking drunk. Everyone just looks happy and it looks very natural as if we just happened to sneak up on these women without them knowing and shoot this video.
TV Commercial Production
Our client recently opened a new liquor store in Fort Lauderdale. A liquor store isn’t that exciting, you walk into the store, buy what you want and leave. Our job was to make this liquor store look like it might be more fun than your ordinary liquor store. They serve wine by the glass so we had three women outside pretending to be celebrating some event. We also included briefly two men having a drink and talking. Inside we had a woman looking for a bottle of wine. Our male actor tells her that’s a good wine she selected. We aren’t able to hear them speaking but we get the idea. The woman smiles and thanks him for his helpful tip. Maybe you’ll meet the love of your life at our client’s liquor store.
