LED exhibit booths are expensive and the technology is always getting better. The distance from the center of the LED to the next LED, beside, below and above it is known as the pixel pitch. Naturally, as the pitch gets smaller, the resolution gets higher. Each year more pixels are set into smaller spaces resulting in lower pitch. As a result, the pixel pitch of a year or two ago becomes the technology nobody wants any more. For that reason, it makes a lot more sense for exhibitors at trade shows to rent video walls. Not only that, but you need an audio visual technician to run the video wall.
We can help with all types of trade show displays!
Video Wall Rentals
It’s easy to forget all of the additional costs that go along with LED exhibit booths. For instance, there will be a shipping charge to get the booth to the exhibit hall. A 20 x 20 video wall exhibit booth could easily weigh 3,500 pounds or more. For that reason, the shipping cost could be substantial. However, there is another cost that could be similar to the shipping cost and that’s drayage. Drayage is the cost to bring your exhibit from the loading dock to your booth rental space.
In cities where there are labor unions there will be some unexpected costs. For example, you can’t even bring a small box of brochures from your hotel room to your booth. A union worker will need to be hired to carry it for you.
Our LED exhibit booths are easy to set up. In fact, the wall tiles snap together. However, since the video walls tiles are electrical, you’ll need a union electrician to snap them together for you.
Consider All the Expenses
We don’t try to discourage anyone from renting an LED exhibit booth. We do like to be upfront about all the expenses that will be involved. For example, hanging a lighted sign can add several thousand dollars to your costs. Having lights in your sign will mean that you’ll need a union electrician for that.
Video Walls Attract Attention
Once your video wall exhibit booth is setup it will be noticed. As long as the costs of an LED exhibit booth rental are within your budget, they look amazing! Plus, when you rent with us, we include the cost of having our technician there the during the trade show. You can be certain that your video wall will be working properly the entire time.
Imagine the possibilities! For example, if your company has a lot of products, you display them on your video walls. Plus, if you manufacture apparel, you can have a fashion show on your video walls. There once was a time when your most popular item would be featured in a large graphic. However, with video walls, you can feature as many products as you like. We can make just a video backwall or entire LED exhibit booths.
What is a Good Resolution for a Video Wall?
Video wall rentals make sense for a 20×20 foot exhibit space. In a 10×10 space people would be too close to the wall. Consequently, they would see the pixels and not the video. Additionally, we recommend a video wall booth rental when you have an island exhibit space. Naturally, with an island or peninsula space people can see the video wall from a distance.
If the pixel pitch is 3 then the best viewing distance would be about 33 feet or more. However, at 16 feet away you could still clearly see the video being displayed. Naturally, you’d see the pixels because they are big. Conversely, if we reduce the pixel pitch to 1.5 then 16 feet is the best viewing distance. At that distance it would be hard to see the pixels because they are small. Plus, you could be as close as 8 feet and still see the video pretty well. This is why a video wall just won’t work in a 10×10 space. The wall itself would be a minimum of 2 feet thick due to the supporting structure. That means that your 10×10 rental space is now only 8×10. Naturally, everyone would be close enough to see the pixels. Consequently, we’d recommend a large TV monitor instead.
