mobile web design

This mobile web design was one of a kind for our ad agency. This was the first time we ever made a website that was intended to be viewed only on a tablet. Around 2005 as smartphones became more popular our clients began to ask about mobile web design. In the past, we would make a regular site and a mobile version. However, since 2013 we have been making just one site which would automatically alter its shape. In fact, these websites will fit the device the visitor was using. This is known as “responsive web design” and the picture here is an example of this.

Responsive Web Design

What is interesting about this particular example is that the client specifically requested that we create this for tablet users. Additionally, these users would be getting their hair styled. Although you can view this just fine on a smartphone or a computer; it was intended to be used on tablets. As a result, our client will provide the tablets to their customers located all around the United States. The plan was to hand the tablets to women while they are getting their hair styled. Additionally, the tablets were locked so that the only content they could view would be this online magazine. As a result, they could shop online and view ads online and our client would make money. Consequently, the revenue would come from ad views and affiliate marketing from sales.
